Top 10 Reasons to Date an Accountant

We have a fun video this week… a top ten list! Watch now!

VIDEO SUMMARY

Tax season just ended, and if you are a fellow accountant, you are probably exhausted. So this week I thought we would just do something fun. I put together a top ten list. This is the top ten reasons to date an accountant.

10. Well dressed. Accountants have to dress professionally at work, so they are used to looking nice. You do not usually have to worry about taking your date somewhere and having them look like a slob.

9. Solid Finances. Accountants know a lot about money. They talk about it every day at work, and they usually bring that knowledge home and apply it to their personal finances.

8. Organized. Accountants love organization. It is great to date someone who has a clean and organized home.

7. Parents love them. I do not know exactly why this is, but parents seem to love accountants. So if you bring an accountant home to meet your parents, you will likely have a good outcome.

6. Efficient. If you have ever worked in accounting, you learn very quickly how to do things efficiently. That skill comes in very handy when you are planning out a vacation.

5. They love vacations. Accountants work hard, and you may not see them a lot during periods like busy season. But when they take a vacation, they love taking that vacation, which is a lot of fun.

4. Interesting. Accountants are always working on something interesting. They are on the forefront of what is happening in the business world. So if you are willing to learn about interest rates and financial markets, it is always an interesting conversation.

3. Passionate people. Do not be fooled by serious appearance of accounting. Every accountant I have met, cares very deeply about things. That is why we all work so hard. Accountants are passionate people.

2. Everyone likes them. Who does not like accountants? Nobody. They are just likeable people.

1. You will always have someone to do your taxes. That is the best relationship perk I have ever heard of.
